The skin is the body's largest organ. Where does it come from? Is it grown in the womb? After we are born? Can it taste memories of previous lives? Are we shadowed by discontent with it? Can we escape the highs and lows of fate and circumstance? Or should we accept the inevitable changes to come and learn to nest?

I sought to sonically explore these biophilosophical questions with the songs present on this EP. Whereas Minor Planets looked to the stars and the heavens, Skinetics is grounded, bringing out more percussion, piano, and sampled audio. Like the skin, the landscapes here are familiar, but can often be harsh and unforgiving, until you learn to be comfortable with them.

This is a tale of bathing in darkness and learning to accept it, so that the light can be seen.
